January 15 - 19, Portland Old-Time Music Gathering
The Portland Oregon Old-Time Music Gathering is a grassroots volunteer-run festival that aims to celebrate and enrich the community of traditional old-time Appalachian style string-band musicians. Bruce Molsky is the Artist in Residence at the 2020 event. He will be performing at the Friday night concert, leading a fiddle workshop on Saturday and making appearances in the community.

January 15 - 19, Rose City Classic Dog Show
The Rose City Classic Series of Dog Shows is one of the largest and most popular dog events in the United States. That’s why so many of the best dogs in America and even dogs from foreign countries travel to Portland each January to compete.  The event spans 5 days, starting on Wednesday with about 20 Individual breed specialty shows and an all-Terrier group show.

Saturday, January 18th, Portland Classic PBR: Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour
The bull riders of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour (PWVT) are headed back to Oregon, for the sixth consecutive year, and ready to buck Saturday, January 18 at Moda Center for the Portland Classic.  As the sixth stop of the 2020 PWVT season, the Portland Classic will feature the top young-gun bull riders facing off against the rankest bucking bulls in the business, all vying for precious world points on the line.
