Thursday, April 11, Portland Grand Tasting:
The extreme conditions that shape the wine from the Gorge Wine area are unique to this region—to be sensed, embraced, and celebrated. Creativity is at the heart of the vision for Gorge Wine. The region is marked by an intrepid spirit that seeks to craft something extraordinary through inspiration in dialog with the land. Friday, April 12, OMSI After Dark: Pig & Swig:

Saturday, April 13, Code Orange Egg Drop:
Pre-registration is required for this unique egg hunt where a full-size helicopter will drop thousands of eggs onto the open field area of Brentwood Park, in a safe area, away from all children and adults. After the eggs are dropped, the kids, in age-appropriate zones, will be allowed to gather them up and redeem them for candy at our Candy Stations.

Saturday, April 20, Hood River Hard-Pressed Cider Fest:
The Hood River Hard-Pressed Cider Fest gives seasoned and novice cider drinkers alike the chance to sample cider from Hood River County’s very own cider makers, as well as a variety of additional Northwest cideries. More than twenty-five cideries will be participating, with more than 50 ciders on tap.

The daylong event also features a lineup of local music, and a kid’s activity area – guaranteeing a great time for the whole family. Spring showers aren’t a problem, as the tasting area takes place in a covered hall.

April 20 - 21, Hortlandia Plant & Garden Art Sale:
The Hardy Plant Society of Oregon sponsors this event that is one of the largest of its kind in the Pacific Northwest. Vendors from far and wide come to Portland to offer the latest plant introductions as well as the time-tested (and hardiness-tested!) plants. Complementing the plant vendors are specialty garden art vendors bringing one-of-a-kind pieces made from metal, wood, glass, ceramic, fabric, and stone. Each work of art is handcrafted by the vendor.
