August 2 - 3, Tualatin Crawfish Festival
The Tualatin Crawfish Festival offers a wide variety of food, entertainment and activities. There’s something for all ages! Join the fun Friday evening at Tualatin Community Park for some great live music highlighting Collective Nation and Stone in Love. Come back Saturday to enjoy a fantastic line-up of musicians, kids Watermelon & adult Crawfish Eating Contest, the CrawKID Zone, local vendors, and of course, crawfish!

August 2 - 4, The Comedy of Errors
Sometimes you just want to laugh! Mistaken identity, jokes, puns, and slapstick comedy is exactly what you need on a beautiful Oregon summer day while sipping Oregon wine! The Comedy of Errors is Shakespeare's shortest-and one of his most farcical-comedies. While the text of the play is funny, the fantastic acting and creative directing make this play hilarious.

Saturday, August 3, Obonfest
Obonfest (Obon) is a summertime Japanese (and Japanese-American) festival commemorating one's ancestors. In their honor, lanterns are hung, Bon Odori (Obon dance) is performed, memorial visits are made, and food is offered at home butsudans and temples. Central to Obonfest is Bon Odori (Obon dance). These joyful dances invite the community to celebrate and pay tribute to ancestors and those family members who have more recently passed. All are welcome families, non-Buddhist neighbors, and fun-loving food lovers.

August 3 - 4, Rice Northwest Museum Summer Festival
The Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals is home to many fascinating and beautiful galleries and displays. The Summer Festival includes educational games, gold panning, geode cutting, jewelry & fossil vendors, exhibits, live music, and food in Hillsboro.

August 3 - 4, The Great Oregon Steam-Up
The Great Oregon Steam-Up is the largest event at Powerland Heritage Park during the year and it involves all of the museums and many other participants. One of the unique aspects of the event is that most of the equipment is operating. We’ll see you the last weekend in July and the first weekend in August.

August 9 - 11, Elephant Garlic Festival

Over 400 Show Cars, Trucks & Motorcycles, Active & Vintage Military Vehicles, Tribute to Veterans Ceremony, Scott Pipe Band, Huey Helicopter landing, West Coast Ravens Fly Over, SWAT Car, Police & Fire Vehicles, Race Cars.
ALL PROCEEDS WILL SUPPORT LOCAL VETERANS PROGRAMS INCLUDING: Oregon Paralyzed Veterans of America and the Salvation Army Veterans & Family Center

Sunday, August 11, Lents Fair
Lents Fair is an annual celebration of summer and community in South East Portland, now in its Fourth Year! This fair features live music, food, craft vendors, a kids’ area, a chicken beauty pageant, and the Belmont Goats in the SW corner of Lents Park, plus a walk on closed neighborhood streets.

Get “Uncorked” in Forest Grove. Celebrate in the streets of Forest Grove for the downtown annual “Uncorked” event. This event features Oregon's abundance of fine wineries, micro-brew beer, spirits, skillfully crafted food, fine arts, and local music talent. Aug 24 -26 & Aug 31 - Sept 2, Annual Dahlia Festival
A must see for the dahlia lover, or if you just love flowers. View over 400 floral arrangements of dahlias, over 15,000 cut dahlia blooms on display, in our three indoor display rooms. This is the largest display put on by one grower anywhere in the United States!
