Satyrday, June 1, Starlight Parade & Run:
Portland’s most popular fun run, the Starlight Run, is moving to a new start time at a new start and finish location! The wacky warm-up act for the Portland General Electric/SOLVE Starlight Parade will now start and finish on Naito Parkway at the Rose Festival’s CityFair.  The 41st Annual Starlight Run will start at 7:00 p.m. instead of 7:45 p.m. The traditional costume contest will be held at 5:45.  All runners will get a medal and enjoy free access to CityFair following the race.

The Starlight Parade continues a longtime festival tradition from the early 1900s, when illuminated floats built on electric trolley cars made their way through the city on trolley tracks. Today, participants light up the night with approximately 100 illuminated entries along a 2.25-mile route. Don’t miss the fun of one of the Rose Festival’s best and brightest traditions! The Portland General Electric/SOLVE Starlight Parade will begin at 8:30 p.m. on June 1, 2019.
