Since 1993, a journey through Winter Wonderland has become a Holiday tradition for many families, friends, and social organizations to celebrate the spirit of the holiday season. Spectators can enjoy the most spectacular drive-through light show in the region, viewing over 250 colorful light set pieces and many fully animated scenes from the comfort of their own vehicle.

Enjoy an immersive holiday event based on a traditional European-style Christmas Market, where you can experience the sights, sounds and smells of the season.  Stroll through the forest and the one million lights, while sipping a warm, spicy gluhwein.  Enjoy music from choirs and cozy up to a wood-burning fire pit. Those more adventurous will enjoy ice skating or snowless tubing, while the rest of the crew watches from the comfort of fully-covered, heated tents.

As you walk around the zoo, you'll see a dazzling display of more than 1.5 million lights, and experience the zoo in a whole new way.  In addition to visiting elephants, mountain goats and other wildlife, you can ride the popular lighted train and carousel, and enjoy hot drinks and local food carts.  Photos with Santa will be available for the little ones every evening through Dec. 24.

Now in its 32nd year, the Ainsworth Holiday Home Tour has been one of the most significant fundraisers for Ainsworth Elementary School.  Funds raised directly benefit the students by providing computers, enhanced art programs, field trips, classroom supplies and other support to teachers and staff.

The 2019 Christmas Ships Parade season will soon be here on the Columbia and Willamette Rivers for 15 nights.  There are seven nights this year where they will have a combined fleet (more boats in one location). The other eight nights, each fleet parades its respective river.

Friday, December 6, Duniway Holiday Home Tour & Boutique
Ring in the holiday season with a cherished Eastmoreland tradition that supports Duniway Elementary School. The tour offers a sneak peek into six stunning neighborhood homes decked out for the holidays, along with neighborhood trolley rides and live music.  Running in conjunction with the tour is the Holiday Boutique, featuring the wares of many local artists and merchants. Anyone can attend the boutique, held at Duniway Elementary the day of the tour, without purchasing a Home Tour ticket.

December 27 - 31, Whale Watching Week
Whales in Oregon!  People come from all over the world to learn about the gray whales that travel along the Oregon coast each year. Whales are visible from Oregon's shores all year long although some months are better than others.  In the Winter we watch nearly 20,000 gray whales from mid-December through mid-January as they travel south to the warm lagoons of Baja Mexico.
