We would like to invite you to participate in a March Madness tournament challenge with our team and friends! We’ll be using the ESPN Tournament Challenge site that can be accessed by ESPN.com or the ESPN Tournament Challenge App (easiest option). The apps can be downloaded here:
If you participated in the challenge in previous years, you should be able to see our group at the top of the group lists as your 2022 (or previous year) participation. Just click into that group and re-join! You'll need to create a bracket to join, but this will not require you to fill-in the bracket until after Selection Sunday (3/12).
If you haven't participated before, or you're unable to see the previous group, use the instructions below to join us!
After Selection Sunday on March 12th you’ll be able set-up the teams in your bracket. Jimmy has set a 1 bracket limit for everyone.
Team selections need to be filled in no later than the first tip of the round of 64 on Thursday, March 16th (before the games begin).
The tournament ends on Monday, April 3rd and we’ll award prizes to the top two finishing participants!

- If you’re new to the app you'll need to Sign-up, or if you've used it before Sign-in using your ESPN account.
- Once your account is created you will Create a Bracket (you won’t actually select teams until after Selection Sunday on 3/12)
- Change the name of your bracket by selecting the 3 vertical dots to the right of the auto-generated name. We prefer you change the name of your bracket to your First and Last Name so we can recognize who you are. 😊
- To join our challenge, select the “+ Create/Join Group” under your bracket. It is a private group so random people cannot enter.
- Search for TheMcDowellTeam (no spaces)
- Enter password: realestate
- Select Join Group
